Although I haven't told anyone as of yet, I set up this blog to provide a convenient way to communicate with all of you (hopefully) faithful readers. With some luck and motivation I will be updating a few times a week, although once the initial novelty of my situation in Chile fades I wouldn't expect more than one a week (unless I'm traveling).
I think I can post all sorts of links and pictures on this thing, so expect some pretty cool stuff once I get down there. Especially with my baller new digital SLR camera and all. Tell anyone and everyone you wish about the blog - I'll keep it PG - OK, maybe PG-13 - so it's good for all ages, body types, and intelligence levels. Feel free to comment as much as possible, and please correct any grammar mistakes...I have a major jonesing for grammar corrections. Just don't incorrectly correct me, or I will BAN you from reading the blog, and then you should, and will, cry. I'll also translate certain phrases during the infancy of the blog for all of you dirty gringos, or more appropriate, diablos blancos (a particularly evil racial slur which I have adopted as applicable to all gringos traveling in South America). Anyway, this should be a refreshing alternative to the typical mass-email list.
For now - since I'm still two weeks from a May 30 departure on American Airlines flights 677 and 945 (just in case you want to check flight tracker for my altitude and air speed once I'm airborne) - I'll leave you with these epic pictures of a certain Flaco Cabezón in perfect form in Peru...
